At Monivae we provide a friendly, safe residence that provides for students' academic, spiritual, physical and cultural needs. Boarding staff at Monivae aim to support families, not replace them.
Boarding provides many opportunities for students, from the educational benefits of structured supervised study times and use of resources to extra curricular activities such a dance, sport and music.
The aim of Boarding at Monivae is to provide opportunities to those that are unable to receive the same at home. This could be in the form of wider academic opportunities, structured study programs or to meet an individuals specialised schooling needs. We cherish the individual and celebrate the community nature that allows a student to feel comfortable and safe.
Students who board at Monivae get to experience living with people from different cultures and people from a wide variety of backgrounds, this helps to develop their independence, self confidence and tolerance of others. Boarding offers a whole education that encourages students to recognise and reach their own unique potential.
Regional Boarding Information Nights
Choosing a school can be a very difficult task. To assist parents, Monivae College holds a number of Information Evenings throughout the Western District of Victoria and South-East of South Australia. These informal information evenings enable prospective parents an opportunity to learn more about the College, gain a deeper understanding of the curricular and co-curricular activities on offer and to ask any questions concerning their child's education.
These information evenings are attended by the Principal, the Director of Boarding (where commitments allow for both) and senior members of staff and in some cases current or past parents and students.
To find out more about these sessions please contact our Registrar, Meg Cook on (03) 5551 1245 or via email@example.com
General Excellence Scholarships are offered for new students entering Year 10 for 2016 and Boarding Scholarships are open to all new boarders. For more details visit our Scholarships page where you can download an application form.
