Scholarship and Bursary FAQs

Who is eligible for a scholarship?

General Scholarships are only available for students entering Monivae in Years 7 and 10. Current students can also apply for scholarships when entering Year 10.

How do I apply?

Application is by folio and interview.  Some application forms can be downloaded above or are available by contacting the Registrar.  There is no scholarship application fees or exams.  Once the application is received you will be contacted by the school to arrange a scholarship interview.

Interviews are conducted by the Principal, Senior Staff member and the Director of Boarding (if a boarding scholarship).  Both parents are encouraged to attend the interview with their child.

What if I can’t afford to send my child to Monivae?

The college has a number of special scholarships available for families.  Some of these scholarships are funded by past students and some by current staff members.

Families facing financial difficulties are encouraged to apply for Special Scholarships.  The same process exists for applying for a special scholarship except there is an additional form that needs to be completed.  Applications is by interview and resume and accompanying financial documentation.

Confidentiality:

All scholarships granted are confidential and remain the business between the college and the family.  All successful scholarship winners are expected to contribute to all activities within the college in good faith and within the spirit of the college.
