LEARNING

Pathways

After reviewing emerging educational trends, the current needs of students and the necessity to future ready them for an increasingly changing employment market, Monivae College introduced significant changes to the curriculum called 'pathways'.

At Monivae College, our Years 7-10 curriculum provides a supportive foundation for students as they explore their interests and develop essential skills for their future pathways. Students study a broad range of core curriculum, including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Health & Physical Education, and Religious Education, while also having the opportunity to discover their passions through a diverse range of electives.

Year 9 and 10 students are offered increased subject choice through our elective program. Our Year 9 and 10 elective program is driven by student-choice and offers a wide range of practical hands-on learning in areas such as Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Agriculture, Engineering, Outdoor and Environmental Studies, and Sports and Recreation. We also offer our Year 10 students the opportunity to study Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses.

At Monivae we offer both the VCE and the VCE Vocational Major senior secondary pathways. We offer a wide range of VCE subjects and have long-established relationships with external providers, ensuring access to a diverse range of VET courses.

For more information about any of our subjects or programs, please contact the appropriate Faculty Leader.
